Scanning Documents using Windows Scan/Fax App
Step 1. Click on the Windows button and Type “Scan”
To start scanning our document, open the Windows Fax and Scan App.
To this by clicking on the Windows button and typing “Scan”.
You should see the app pop on the results. Go ahead and click on it.

Step 2. Scan the document
Select New Scan

A window will appear, these are the settings for your scanning process. You can change the following settings:
- Color
- Resolution
For usual purposes, you don’t need to change anything in these settings.

Click on Scan
Step 3. Save your Scanned Document
Once you see the loading window for scanning complete, your scanned document will immediately appear on the window.
To save this document right click on the picture.
Then, Click on save as.

This will open a new window to where we want to save our file. The file location defaults to Scanned Documents.

We save our file here by naming our document.
Then clicking save.
You have now saved your scanned document!
You can use this later for attaching pictures/documents in the email. Always remember what you named your file.
